The town developed around Christchurch harbour where the first settlement dates back to the Iron Age. The impressive Norman Christchurch Priory, the longest chruch in England, still dominates the town. Senior International is delighted to be able to use Priory House as its base for the course. It is within easy walking distance of the harbour and town centre and offers an ideal historical setting.
Christchurch is situated just east of Bournemouth, one of the U.K.'s top holiday resorts. A beautiful 7-mile bay of golden beaches stretches from Christchurch Harbour to the historic town and port of Poole.
Regular flights to Edinburgh and Dublin as well as many European destinations are available from Hurn Airport, Bournemouth. London is a 2-hour train journey from Christchurch station.
Senior International course participants, in their free time, may wish to visit Stonehenge, a World Heritae Site, near the city of Salisbury, which has the tallest cathedral in England.
The Isle of Wight famous for Cowes Week, the world-class sailing regatta (31st July - 7th August) and The New Forest recently recognised as a National Park, are all easily reached by public transport.
